MODEL
How It Works
The Fund connects three actors into one system:
- NGOs (operating from Jordan) deliver services in Syria
- Private sector invests in economic activity and job creation
- Government supports system strengthening and long-term ownership
Simple Flow
- Donors contribute funding
- Partners are selected and vetted
- NGOs stabilize communities in Syria
- Private sector investment follows
- Systems transition to sustainable local ownership
Why It’s Different
Traditional aid is short-term and fragmented.
This model aligns humanitarian response, economic development, and governance from the start—creating faster, more sustainable impact.
FUNDING & PARTNERS
Funding Approach
Contributions are time-bound and tied to measurable results, with clear outcomes expected within 2–4 years.
Sustainability
A portion of all funding supports a nationally managed endowment in Jordan, ensuring long-term financing beyond initial donor contributions.
Private Sector Role
Businesses are supported to operate in complex environments, with structured returns that are partially reinvested into the Fund to sustain future programming.
